Moulds, casting and lamination under one roof
Project-specific moulds are developed for each approved profile. GRC is produced by spray or premix casting; GRP is hand-laminated in polyester resin with glass-fibre mat over a gelcoat face.
Production and dispatch are planned around site requirements so elements arrive in the order they will be installed.
From mould to site
Ten controlled stages between an approved shop drawing and a finished element on the trailer.
Mould making
Patterns and moulds made from the approved shop drawing, in timber, GRP or rubber as the profile needs.
Mixing
Cement, sand, polymer, admixtures and alkali-resistant glass fibre batched to the mix design.
Casting
Sprayed GRC for large, thin panels; vibration-cast premix for small, thick and see-through elements.
GRP lamination
Gelcoat face coat, then layers of chopped strand mat or woven roving in polyester resin.
Reinforcement
Stud frames, GI embeds, steel channels and cast-in sockets set for fixing and lifting.
Demoulding
Elements released, checked for profile and surface, and supported to prevent distortion.
Finishing
Edges dressed, surfaces made good and finishes matched to the approved sample.
Inspection
Dimensional, visual and material checks recorded before release.
Storage
Finished elements stored and protected by project, level and location.
Transportation
Loaded on supporting frames with cushioning and dispatched to the installation sequence.
Specified to the element
4–6% AR glass fibre
For cladding panels and large thin sections. Typical mix: cement, fine aggregate, plasticiser, optional polymer and water.
2–3% AR glass fibre
Vibration-cast or self-compacting, for columns, capitals, balusters, screens and thicker profiles.
Four standard finishes
White / grey smooth, pigmented smooth, acid-etched fine stone and exposed aggregate.
Gelcoat + glass / polyester
Chopped strand mat (300–600 g), woven roving and core mat as specified; standard cladding skin 3–4 mm.
GI embeds & frames
GI embeds, steel supports and lifting sockets detailed on the shop drawings for each element.
MOR & LOP
GRC samples tested for Modulus of Rupture and Limit of Proportionality to BS EN 1170-5 at an independent laboratory.
