Laminate build-up
A gelcoat face coat followed by layers of chopped strand mat or woven roving in polyester resin. Our standard cladding skin is 3–4 mm, set by panel size and specification.
Domes, canopies and shades
GRP suits large free-form shapes. Units are stiffened for demoulding and transport and fixed on steel frames detailed on the shop drawings.
Delivered projects

Repair and modification
We repair and modify GRP elements, including gelcoat damage, cracks and re-finishing.

Questions about GRP Domes & Canopies
What is the difference between GRP and GRC?+
GRP is a resin and glass fibre laminate; GRC is a cement and glass fibre concrete. GRP is lighter and suits seamless free forms; GRC gives a concrete or stone appearance.
Is GRP the same as fibreglass?+
Yes. GRP (glass reinforced plastic) is commonly called fibreglass or FRP.
